We do not collect, store, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Everything happens locally, inside your own browser.
The extension runs only on Amazon marketplace websites (amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de and the other Amazon regional domains). On search result pages it:
All of this happens inside your own browser. No page content, search term, product data or browsing activity ever leaves your device - not to us, not to anyone.

There is no analytics, no telemetry, no advertising code and no tracking pixel. The only network requests made are to the Amazon website you are already visiting, solely to load further pages of your own search.
Your filter preferences - which checkboxes you enabled, which marketplace you selected, any text you typed - are saved using your browser’s built-in extension storage. That data:
When Smart Sort is active, the extension may show a Top 5 picks button. If - and only if - you click it, the extension opens our picks page in a new tab and passes the products from your current search (titles, ratings, review counts, prices, image links) inside the URL’s #fragment.
Browsers never transmit URL fragments to web servers. The data is processed entirely inside your own browser by that page’s script; our server never receives your search terms or product data, and nothing is stored. If you never press the button, no interaction with the website happens at all.
sortpicks.com sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics. The guide pages and the picks page contain Amazon affiliate links, which are disclosed on every page that carries them. Following such a link takes you to Amazon, whose own privacy policy then applies.
We share no data with third parties, because we have no data to share. The extension interacts only with the Amazon website you are visiting. Your use of Amazon itself is governed by Amazon’s own privacy policy and terms, independently of this extension.
The extension does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information at all.
If a future version ever changes how data is handled, this policy will be updated and the date above revised before that version is released. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
SortPicks is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Amazon.com, Inc. or any of its subsidiaries. “Amazon” and related marks are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates, used here only to describe compatibility.
The extension and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. Product information - ratings, review counts, prices, availability - is displayed as provided by Amazon and may be incomplete, delayed or reordered. Always verify price, rating and availability on the product page before purchasing.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages - including lost profits, lost savings or purchasing decisions - arising from the use of, or inability to use, the extension or website. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you.
